Working at the intersection of brand, product, and environment, I think like an architect and lead like a strategist.
Over 25+ years across retail, lifestyle, and cultural sectors, that lens has shaped everything from packaging and visual identity to store communications and product design systems. My work lives where design and commerce meet: it has to be beautiful and functional.
Most recently I co-founded The Creative Department, a boutique consultancy focused on brand development, product strategy, and visual communication. Recent work includes creative direction and design for a digital publication for the American Institute of Architects and spatial storytelling through CGI creative direction for Highbury Furnishings that elevated their brand positioning on platforms like Wayfair and Lowes.
Before that, I spent ten years at Indigo Books & Music, ultimately as Design Director, leading creative direction for stationery and packaging, building and mentoring a team of designers, and contributing to four private-label lifestyle launches. I held creative ownership of Nota end to end, from concept through launch, alongside contributions to Auria, Dew + Poesy, and Love & Lore.
Prior to Indigo, I spent six years at Bruce Mau Design working across graphic design, environmental graphics, textile and carpet design, and architectural programming for clients including Gehry Partners, Maharam Textiles, Shaw Industries, Roots Canada, and ArtCenter College of Design.
